YACHT PRE-DELIVERY COVERAGE
BUILDER’s RISK cover
The Builder’s Risk insurance policy is designed to cover a vessel and related property and materials from the start of construction through the final delivery to the customer. This coverage can be placed for the builder or owner of the vessel and insures against physical loss or damage to the vessel and collision liability during sea trials and delivery.
PRE-DELIVERY LIABILITY cover
Just like the Builder’s Risk insurance covers you for damage to your property, the Pre-Delivery liability will cover your liability towards your employees (crew) and your contractors (project managers, designers, …) in case of personal injury, illness or death or property damage over the course of the build, as well as your liability towards third parties for injury or property damage caused by your employees over that same period.
